(12th Bologna T-m/y depot in preparation of ground attack - flak moderate inaccurate - lost supercharger at 24,000 ft. But made target ok 30 below no heater or electrical suit.)
(13th Vienna Austria T-north RR repair shop Lead Ship First Time- flak intense and accurate B24's and B17's blowing up falling all around us I saw 5 myself - rallied sharp 200+ mph thus missed much of the flak bombing by attack units collision course made our lead box rally short therefore we did not drop all radio equipment out over target)
(15th Valentine Austria T- Herrman Goerings tank factory heavy accurate flak over target lead ship attack unit had malfunction or our box rallied short in three flak areas - on the way back 2 boxes of the group shot up rudders froze at 26,500 also all radio froze temporarily. Barely made the field (gas) One engine cut out after landing
(17th Vienna Austria T- German Army truck works center of the city Turned back in sight smoke off the target coming up through undercast-box lost in front only ship including us made it through in formation.)
(23rd Srenio Italy Over target and 2 alternate weather covered all -much visual flak but not experienced - no bombs dropped - had a fighter flush no loses in the group)
(30th Klagenfint Austria T-m/y P.FF 8-500 21,000 ft First night mission from wings only ship from group experienced ice but made target ok- Single ship bombing -hit the target in clouds 1 hr before bombs away saw first flak at night only visual felt flak over target practiced month before mission- reports were very satisfactory-new 15th AAF plan - one ship experienced fighters- Our box drop scored 65% listed by air force as excellent -hit rail line into m/y) (Nov 5th Vienna Austria T-Florisdorf oil refinery 8 500 RDX PFF intense flak no hits)

(30th Munich west m/y 8-500 6 RDX 2 booby trapped night single ship all superchargers froze at target one did not come back in - emergency landing 325th fighter group - on gas ready to bail out when interceptors came - no radio contact -no clouds protecting over the target- flak intense accurate 2 enemy fighters seen)
(Dec 2nd Vienna Florisdorf T- oil refinery lost supercharger on bomb run PFF oil fires up to 15,000 ft before rally completed flak heavy and accurate rallied shout of it)(Linz-day turned back CAVU weather no cloud protection - jet ship look us over)
(6th Sopon HungaryT-m/y very good hits formation in clouds 1hr - no flak -fighters but no at our sqaudron)
(7th night mission Innsbruck CAVU instructed to return- and delivered bombs over Austria - fighter pressed attack but diving maneuver lost him)
(12th Day single ship Blechammer oil refinery lead ship Becks and Staochs 35th multi fighters Russian and German jets - flak intense but rather inaccurate- over Poland, Germany, Checkoz, Slouacia Hungary, Yugo, Austria)
(15th Innsbruck flak heavy and accurate hit target 82% Alonzo hit above the eye by glass - in flak to damed long and too accurate to suit this kid That's All Brother!
